Illinois Tech students who paid Spring 2020 tuition and fees are eligible for a share of a $1,000,000 settlement fund after the school switched to remote learning during COVID-19. Final approval was granted June 25, 2026; payments are distributed automatically, no claim required.

Who may qualify

Eligible if: You are a member of the Settlement Class if you were an Illinois Tech student who paid or were obligated to pay tuition, fees, or other costs to Illinois Tech for the Spring 2020 academic term.

Final Approval was granted June 25, 2026 (one day after the June 24 hearing). Attorneys' fees requested up to 33.33% of the fund ($333,300); Class Representative awards up to $5,000 each — both come out of the $1,000,000 fund before the per-member split. deadline = Election Form Deadline (update address / choose Venmo-Zelle-PayPal) for an automatic distribution, not a claim-filing deadline — no claim form is required.
