Toyota Material Handling, N.A., Toyota Material Handling, Inc., and Toyota Industries Corporation agreed to a class-action settlement resolving claims that emission levels of certain Toyota IC Forklifts built between 2007-2021 were misrepresented and exceeded regulatory limits. Defendants deny the claims. The Settlement provides: (1) cash compensation likely ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 per Settlement Class Forklift (up to $299,500,000 total fund), (2) a free Service Plan visit, and (3) a New Parts Warranty if a government-approved recall occurs by October 31, 2028. Submit a Settlement Claim Form by September 23, 2026 for cash compensation.

Who may qualify

all persons and entities that purchased or leased a Settlement Class Forklift on or before January 20, 2026. A "Settlement Class Forklift" is any IC Toyota forklift equipped with a Settlement Class Engine (4Y 2007-2021, 1FS 2013-2021, 1KD 2014-2021, or 1ZS 2014-2021) built between 2007-2021 and originally sold and/or leased in the United States.
